About Provo Canyon Students

There are two separate campuses at Provo Canyon School for boys and girls. The boys' campus is at Provo while the girls' campus is at Orem. The school has been teaching students to overcome their problems for over three decades now.

The students at the school are involved in various activities during their stay at the school. These activities are arranged and planned with the aim of encouraging social interaction and pro-activity among the children.

Consequently, the children are more socially active and become more outgoing and conversant. Provo Canyon School students have participated in events ranging from a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser to renovating a damaged home. The school has been helping Native Americans every Christmas since 2003 by distributing various gifts among them every Christmas.

Similarly the girl’s campus has been celebrating Red Ribbon week every year from October 23 to October 31. The Red Ribbon week is celebrated in memory of a member of the US Drug Enforcement Administration, Enrique Camerena who was killed when trying to suppress drug trafficking. Anti-drug addictions messages and programs are arranged during the week, as students and staff members both participate enthusiastically in the proceedings.

The students are made responsible for their actions, and as they progress they are given more responsibilities.
